AI governance
AI you can trustis AI you can control.
Worrying that AI will go wrong is healthy. Governance turns that worry into clear rules: what each agent may touch, who signs off, what gets recorded, and how you stay in charge.

The worry
Afraid AI will break something? Good instinct.
An AI with the keys to everything, answering to no one, is a real risk. One bad instruction and it emails every customer, pays a refund twice, or sends a file to the wrong client.
Guardrail 1 · Access
Only what the job needs.
Each agent gets the data and tools its task requires, and nothing else. An agent that answers customers can read orders. It can’t touch payments.
Guardrail 2 · Approval
A person signs off.
Anything that sends, pays, publishes or deletes waits for the right person’s OK. AI does the preparation. People make the call.
Guardrail 3 · Record
Every step, on record.
What the agent read, what it decided, who approved it, and what it was stopped from doing. If something looks off, you can see exactly why.
Guardrail 4 · Control
Trust is earned, one rule at a time.
Every agent we build can be paused at any moment. As it proves reliable, you decide what it may do without asking.
How AI governance worksPrinciples
Six rules we buildinto every agent.
Not a policy document that sits in a drawer. These are switched on in the system itself, from the first day.
- 01
Only what the job needs.
Every agent gets its own narrow access. A customer service agent can read orders. It can’t see payroll or move money.
- 02
A person signs off.
Anything that sends, pays, publishes or deletes waits for approval from the right person.
- 03
Everything on record.
Every read, decision, approval and blocked attempt is written to an activity record you can review.
- 04
Starts by suggesting.
New agents draft and recommend. They only act alone where you’ve seen them get it right.
- 05
Your data stays yours.
We agree where data is processed before we build. When it must stay in-house, AI models can run on your own servers.
- 06
An off switch, always.
Every agent can be paused at any moment, and its rules changed without rebuilding it.
Autonomy
Trust is earned,not assumed.
Every agent climbs the same ladder. You decide when it moves up a step, task by task.
Suggest
The agent recommends what to do. A person does the work.
Draft
The agent prepares the work. A person reviews it and sends it.
Act with approval
The agent acts as soon as a person approves.
Act and report
For routine, low-risk tasks you’ve signed off, the agent acts and reports back.
What you get
Control you canactually see.
- 01
A plain-language rulebook for each agent.
What it does, what it can access and what it must ask about, written so anyone on your team can read it.
- 02
Approval steps where they matter.
The right person sees the right decision, with the agent’s reasoning attached.
- 03
An activity record.
A searchable history of what each agent did, when, and why.
- 04
Regular reviews.
We look at how each agent performs with you and adjust its rules as trust grows.
FAQ
Questions aboutAI safety.
What is AI governance for a small business?
It’s the set of rules and controls that decide what your AI systems can do: what data they can access, which actions need a person’s approval, what gets recorded, and who can pause or change them. For a small business it doesn’t need to be bureaucratic. It needs to be built in.
Can the AI send emails or make payments on its own?
Only if you decide it should. By default, anything that sends, pays, publishes or deletes waits for a person’s approval. Over time you can allow routine, low-risk actions to run without asking.
Where does our data go?
We agree that with you before anything is built. Agents only access the data their task needs, and when data must stay in-house, AI models can run on your own servers.
Who is responsible if the AI gets something wrong?
Decisions stay with people, which is why approvals sit on every action that matters. The activity record shows exactly what happened, so a mistake can be traced, fixed and prevented from happening again.
Can we check what the AI did?
Yes. Every step is recorded: what the agent read, what it decided, who approved it and what it was stopped from doing.
