Privacy Policy

LoNotes is an on-device meeting notebook for iPhone. LoNotes does not collect or receive your meeting content. Meeting audio, transcripts, speaker labels, prompts, summaries, insights, embeddings, and documents are processed and stored on your device.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

LoNotes is published by Loming AI Limited (“Loming”, “we”, “us”). This policy applies to the LoNotes iOS app and explains what is processed on the device, what may be transmitted when a user downloads public model or speech files, and what we receive if a user contacts support.

2. Meeting content stays on the device

LoNotes processes and stores meeting content locally in the app's private storage. We operate no account system or cloud service that receives this content, and we cannot view your recordings, transcripts, prompts, summaries, insights, or documents.

• Audio is recorded to local files and is not uploaded.
• Transcripts and speaker labels are created on the device.
• Prompts, generated answers, insights, and summaries are processed on the device.
• Documents, embeddings, and retrieval results remain on the device.

3. On-device AI processing

All speech transcription, speaker diarization, embeddings, document retrieval, prompts, generated answers, insights, and summaries are processed on the device. LoNotes does not use OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or any other hosted AI inference service. Meeting audio, transcripts, prompts, summaries, and documents are not sent to Apple, Hugging Face, GitHub, model publishers, or Loming AI Limited for AI processing.

• Apple Foundation Models provide on-device language generation.
• Core ML and MLX models are downloaded once, then executed locally.
• Apple SpeechAnalyzer or downloaded MLX models provide on-device transcription.
• Local embedding and diarization models process data on the device.

4. Model and speech-asset downloads

Model and speech-asset downloads begin only after the user chooses to install or select the relevant model. LoNotes may contact Apple system services, Hugging Face and its delivery network, GitHub, or the model publisher's file host solely to download public software files. These requests never contain meeting audio, transcripts, prompts, summaries, documents, contacts, or other meeting content.

As with an ordinary HTTPS download, the file provider may receive connection information such as the user's IP address, request time, requested file URL, and standard network headers. Loming AI Limited does not receive or use this connection information for analytics, advertising, profiling, or tracking. A file provider may retain ordinary server logs under its own privacy and security practices.

5. Downloads require user action

No model download begins without user action. Before downloading, LoNotes explains that it will retrieve public model files and that meeting content is not included in the request. Selecting Apple Intelligence does not connect the user to a hosted AI service.

6. Advertising and advertising privacy

Unless the user has purchased Remove Ads, LoNotes displays a banner advertisement using Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK. LoNotes requests non-personalized advertisements and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission. Meeting audio, transcripts, prompts, summaries, documents, and other meeting content are never sent to Google or used for advertising.

Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform may process information such as device identifiers, approximate location derived from the network connection, product interactions, advertising data, crash data, performance data, and other diagnostic information. This information may be used to deliver and measure advertisements, prevent fraud, perform analytics, and maintain app functionality.

Where required, LoNotes uses Google's User Messaging Platform to present advertising privacy choices before requesting advertisements. Users can review their privacy choices again from LoNotes Settings.

7. Remove Ads purchase

Remove Ads is a non-consumable in-app purchase processed by Apple. LoNotes receives the transaction and entitlement status necessary to unlock the ad-free experience, but Loming AI Limited does not receive the user's payment-card details. Purchases can be restored through Apple's App Store services.

8. Information sent to support

If a user voluntarily contacts support, Loming AI Limited receives the email address, message, and any device or diagnostic information the user chooses to include. This information is used only to provide support. Users should not send recordings, transcripts, prompts, summaries, or private documents.

9. Permissions

• Microphone — used to record a meeting after the user starts recording.
• Speech recognition — used for on-device transcription where required by the selected transcription method.
• Files — used only when the user chooses a document to add or a destination for an export.

10. Exports and other user-directed sharing

If a user exports or shares meeting content, the content leaves LoNotes only through the destination and action the user selects. The receiving app, service, or person then handles that exported content under their own terms and privacy practices.

11. Storage, retention, and deletion

Meeting content remains on the device until the user deletes it. Deleting a meeting removes its locally stored content. Deleting the app removes content held in the app's local storage, subject to the device's normal backup and deletion behaviour. Support correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to answer the request and meet legal or security obligations.

12. Privacy and support website

This privacy and support website contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking scripts. Its hosting provider may process ordinary server-request information, such as an IP address and browser headers, to deliver the pages.

13. Children

LoNotes is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect meeting content from children. If a child or their guardian contacts support, we use the information supplied only to respond and handle it as described in Section 8.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when LoNotes or its data-handling practices change. The effective and last-updated date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
